When fire strikes!
On 11th March ,2018 people living in Elias Mollah slum of the capital's Mirpur (Dhaka,Bangladesh) faced a devastating fire. According to the locals around 25,000 thousand people were living there and around 7000 shanties were established on nearly 18 acres of land.The fire hit the slum at around 4am when almost everyone living there were in deep sleep. According to the information 21 fire fighting unit had to give their best effort to bring the fire under control.Around 2000 shanties were completely damaged which left 4000-6000 people homeless.Though no casuality was reported except pne elder women who was seriously injured.The exact reason of fire is sill yet to be known.
